• Smoke Detectors. Our local fire service are happy to supply and fit us with optical smoke detectors, having a 10 year non-replaceable battery, in homes for senior citizens. They want to avoid fires and accidents with step ladders. The also provide a “Living Safe and Well” general health advice leaflet. They seem to come round with their red fire engine response vehicles and wearing full kit when doing that.
